About the Artist
Cindy Pratt is an abstract painter based in Washington State. For years Cindy considered herself a “closet painter” (self-proclaimed), since few people knew she enjoyed painting. Then in 2018, she found herself painting almost daily; using a variety of mediums, including acrylic paints and alcohol inks. She then expanded to other mark making mediums including graphite, pastels, and color pencils.
Cindy finds abstract painting to be an expression of emotion and freedom. She starts with blank paper and a brush, then lets the process unfold. She is inspired by the works of abstract expressionists Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, and Franz Kline.
